Session 1

Urban Mining & Recycling

The session Urban Mining and Recycling deals with an effective and sustainable reuse of secondary resources from end-of-life products by advanced recycling technologies. The research and development of sustainable recycling technologies is a big challenge for the future of industrial societies. Therefore, this session is looking into state-of-the-art recycling processes for the separation of complex material composites and the recovery of critical functional materials. This section focuses on latest developments in the field of mechanical, physical, chemical and biological recycling methods for an economically and ecologically viable application in industry.
