Magnetic measurements

Magnetic measurements

Magnetic properties can be determined by the acquisition of magnetizing and demagnetizing curves as well as via vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). Moreover, spatial resolution can be achieved by using Kerr microscopy and scanning force microscopy for correlation of magnetic properties and their magnetic microstructure.

In order to optimize and develop next generation magnetic materials, measurements of remanence, coercivity and maximum energy product are possible in wide temperature ranges (4 – 1000 K) and at magnetic field strengths up to ±14 T.
