Creating comprehensive criticality analyzes is generally a research-intensive and therefore time-consuming task. In a scientific context, criticality studies are often published in scientific publications whose access requires royalties. Therefore, the results of these studies are available only to a limited extent for large and small industrial enterprises. In addition, the information on the criticality of different metals or materials is distributed in different journals, so that even the research of the publication medium of the studies is time-consuming.

The Fraunhofer Project Group IWKS wants to fill this gap and soon provide interested customers a product that provides relevant information on raw material-related risks in a bundled, clear and prepared manner via a web application.

The subject database initially focuses on the elements needed in technology applications, focusing on the main topics of supply risk, recycling and substitution.

The web application is platform independent and requires only a web browser capable of accessing the database of laptops, tablets and smartphones.
